About Mimir IQ

Built in Canada, by two companies that met the same problem from opposite ends.

One side of this company builds software for organizations that depend on it. The other side spends its days with the founders, franchisors and operators who run those organizations. Both kept finding the same thing: head office believes everything is working, while the people out at the edge cannot get an answer when they need one — and nobody has the whole picture.

Mimir IQ is what came of that. One platform, four products, and a deliberate refusal to build a fifth codebase every time a new industry has the same problem. It is developed by Askyr Software Works with SEED, and your organization’s information is stored in Canada.

We work closely with the organizations using it. What they ask for is what gets built next.

Askyr Software Works and SEED

Askyr builds and runs software for businesses that depend on it but can’t hire a software team. SEED is a Canadian digital studio doing strategy, design and full-funnel marketing for founders, franchises and operators. Mimir IQ is the two of them working on the same problem.

Sean Dexter, founder

Sean has spent his career in front of the people this platform is built for: founders, franchisors and operators running businesses in more than one place. Through SEED he has built the brands, the websites and the pipelines behind franchise systems and multi-location operators across Canada, which means he has seen the same failure from the outside more times than anyone should have to.

That is where Mimir IQ started — not with a technology, but with an observation repeated across a dozen client meetings. Sean brings the market side of it: what an operator will actually pay for, what somebody at the edge will actually use, and the relationships that put the product in front of both.

Mike G Girardin, founder

Mike has spent thirty years doing one job in many arenas: taking scattered systems and messy information and getting them somewhere people can act from. He built jobs.gc.ca for the Government of Canada, led e-learning platforms for the National Gallery of Canada and Canadian Blood Services, moved a national apparel brand from Magento to Salesforce Commerce Cloud and grew its online sales sevenfold, and unified chat, e-commerce and retail into one operation at a national furniture retailer.

He designs and builds Mimir IQ, and runs it through Askyr Software Works, the software company he founded. He has taught e-commerce at Robertson College and spoken at Salesforce Connections, Magento Imagine and eTail East.

What we believe

The system should remember

An answer given once should never have to be given again, to anyone in your organization.

Support shouldn’t need software

A text, a phone call or an email is enough. No app to install and no password to forget.

People handle the exceptions

Your team’s time should go to the questions that genuinely need judgement, not the ones asked every week.
